A neighborhood brewpub located in South Lake Union.

South Lake Union's newest and oldest brewpub. We take pride in providing a warm comfortable place in a newly developed and always changing neighborhood. With Mollusk Brewing beer, a full bar, and a pub food menu, we believe in great food and better beer! We are your second home to grab a bite and a drink or bring your group of friends to watch a game. We can accommodate company happy hour for groups as large as 140 and semi private seating for groups up to 40. 

Mollusk Brewing brings the "craft" to craft brewing with clean beers from classic IPAs to unique Sours.  We fill growlers, sell bottles, and kegs to go.

Jon Langley

Jon joined Dexter Brewhouse as Executive Chef and Director of Kitchen Operations after spending the past 8 years working for Heavy Restaurant Group where he was an executive chef in three of their restaurants.

Growing up as a child on Bainbridge Island ingrained an understanding of the importance of community, friendships, and neighborhood relationships - all very important when leading a restaurant. Throughout his high school years he washed dishes, worked as a prep cook, and worked at local produce stands all leading to him falling in love with the food and restaurant business. Jon attended culinary school where he expanded his knowledge and most importantly met his wife, Katie. After finishing school, Jon and Katie ran a kitchen together on the east side where she taught him how to run a line, butcher whole fish, and lead a team.

Jon’s philosophy on cooking and leading a kitchen…. good food doesn't have to be complicated and it should never be pretentious. A cook only needs to be organized, have a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. With an abundance of the highest quality products available in the northwest, cooking simple, clean food for the people in your community from your heart is incredibly rewarding. Keep it simple, use quality ingredients, and teach your team how to consistently achieve.

In his free time Jon soaks up every minute with his kids, Jack (9) and Ellie (3) and enjoys coaching Jack's soccer team.

MAGNUSON CAFE AND BREWERY IS A TRIPLE THREAT WITH HAND-CRAFTED FOOD, MOLLUSK BREWING AND A LARGE DECK ON LAKE WASHINGTON

Seattle, WA, May 22, 2018 ­– Magnuson Cafe & Brewery, from the group behind Dexter Brewhouse and Mollusk Brewing in South Lake Union, is set to open in Magnuson Park early summer 2018.

The family-friendly restaurant, offering hand-crafted food and 16 beers on tap, is located on the northern shoreline of Magnuson Park, and will feature a large outdoor deck with multiple levels overlooking Lake Washington. The outdoor area will include a dog-friendly area as well as a retractable shade structure. Atelier Drome Architecture + Interior Design, along with general contractor James Company, worked closely with Cody Cluff, owner of Magnuson Cafe & Brewery, to bring an intentionally understated design utilizing materials like a reclaimed Douglas Fir wood wall and metal elements, allowing the historic building from the Naval Air Station Seattle to shine through.

“Magnuson Cafe & Brewery will be a truly Northwest beer-focused dining and drinking experience,” said Cody Cluff, owner of Dexter Brewhouse, Magnuson Cafe & Brewery, and Mollusk Brewing. “I’m very excited to share the large outdoor deck on Lake Washington in one of Seattle’s most historic parks and see our community enjoying themselves, soaking up the Seattle sun along with great food and beer.”

Jon Langley, Executive Chef & Director of Kitchen Operations, has created a menu that’s designed to be approachable, fresh, and familiar consisting of American brewpub food with a Northwest influence. The restaurant will offer elevated pub grub as well as summer-friendly dishes including seasonally-inspired pastas, pork carnitas tacos & farm-fresh salads. Weekend brunch will be a focus for the restaurant offering crowd favorites like avocado toast and mimosas, to classics like breakfast burritos and biscuits & gravy. A brunch-friendly drink list will also be available on weekends. 

Mollusk Brewing will expand brewing capacity with a second brewhouse under the same roof as the restaurant. “Being able to have two breweries operating together is a game changer and will allow us to produce beer for our restaurants, as well as increase our presence throughout the Pacific Northwest.” says brewmaster Cody Morris.

The restaurant and brewery will be located at 7777 62nd Ave NE, occupying historic Building 20, previously used for torpedo storage long ago, is the first of its kind in the park. Magnuson Cafe and Brewery looks forward to partnering with other local organizations such as Sail Sand Point, Cascade Bicycle Club, the Mountaineers, Arena Sports, the Magnuson Athletic Club, Seattle Parks & Rec, NOAA and others.
